Dear Mr. Greenberg,
I am writing in regard to a pair of shoes I bought within the past year. They are a part of the utility footwear series but are not waterproof, which I discovered to my displeasure every time I went in from trudging through snow and rain. Despite their flaws, they were a pretty good pair of shoes. That is, until I tried taking them off yesterday and bottom portion ripped clean off (see below). This is unfortunate for several reasons, not the least of which being the fact that I needed to run out to the store right away in order to purchase something to wear to work the following day. I did not anticipate them being destroyed so instantaneously and did not have a backup.
I have now repurchased the same pair of shoes — I know. Fool me twice, shame on me — and also a pair of weatherproof shoes that look similar but have a higher top. All told, I spent about $130 on Skechers, not counting the amount I paid for the original destroyed pair. As you can see, I do like the Skechers brand. I plan to remove the new shoes delicately as to not replicate this problem. However, I had hoped that something called utility footwear would be more durable than this. I am hoping this is a fluke and my new pairs are not shoddily made. I want to remain a Skechers fan and customer. I am hoping you will be able to do something to rectify this situation.
Sincerely Yours,
