Going downtown is wonderful.

Going downtown is wonderful. Especially when you have to go to family court! Here are some of the good things about going downtown: In order to get into court you need to empty your pockets, take off your belt and shoes and then put them back on. At court, sometimes they bring you in to sit around for three hours and then tell you you can go home. It's like a free treat. You are also allowed to read a book in the waiting room if you brought one, or you can watch Mighty Joe Young for the third time. In this case, I read about 50 pages of Mutation by Robert Cook. You can purchase both Mutation and Mighty Joe Young on Amazon.com should you require a point of reference.

Then, you go to collect your payment, in this case $6.54. For three hours, this is $2.18 per hour, over five dollars an hour below the national minimum wage. In order to get the money, you need to go across the street, empty your pockets, take off your belt and shoes and then put them back on. Additionally, they pay you in unique collector's coins you can't get anywhere else.

The people at the parking garage are really nice, but they are also pranksters. They paint yellow lines on the ground that look like spaces, but when you park inside of them they give you notes like this.

When you are leaving downtown there are also surprises in store for you. Like when you try to get on the ramp to Fort Pitt tunnels and some guy flies out of nowhere from the right hand side, forcing you to swerve onto the ramp towards Rt. 28. Subsequently, here is a picture from Rt. 28.
