Pittsburgh 12/19 and 20: Holiday in the Snow
Driving Friday night and Saturday morning was practically suicidal. Penn and FIfth Aves were skid city. I hate this stuff.

Dear Pittsburgh Post-Gazette,
Mayor Ravenstahl and City Council are demanding that those involved in speaking at meetings against the Fair Share Tax have a ‘focus on solutions.’ Therefore, I would like to propose the Public Service Tax. Section 2 of the Pennsylvania Local Tax Enabling Act of 1965 states that cities of the second class have the power to create taxes on ‘privileges’ afforded by the city. Since representing Pittsburgh is a privilege, all public servants who represent Pittsburgh in any capacity, at any level of government, ought to pay the city 10% of their gross income in return for being afforded this privilege.
If you support the tuition tax and this sounds egregious to you, I suggest you view it as a mirror.
